green plus signDESIGNER / ILLUSTRATOR / DOODLER

I grew up in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York surrounded by hillbillies and ex-hippies. My mom is a retired art teacher and my dad is a sculptor and part-time carpenter. My grandfather was a professional shoe illustrator and sign painter, while my grandmother was an old-school, cut-and-paste graphic designer. So I drew all the time, inspired by some very creative folks. Today, I still like to incorporate hand-drawn elements in my design work whenever possible.

Education: BFA / Rhode Island School of Design

Work: An experienced, can-do graphic designer and illustrator with a love for non-profits and brand work — that's me. I’m available for freelance design, long-term projects or the right full-time gig. My sketchbook is busy, and I've created designs from concept sketches through final production; including: identity/logos, brochures, business collateral, posters, t-shirt designs, annual reports, signage, displays, packaging, illustrations, infographics and web designs. * A full resume is available upon request.

Skills: Software: Adobe Creative Suite, Freehand, Quark Xpress, Microsoft Office, HTML and CSS. Other skills: illustration, screen printing and professional doodling. * Accomplished marshmallow diorama artist — finalist in the 2008 Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest.
